On the 1841 census, ages were usually (but not always) rounded down to the nearest five years for anyone over age 14 (i.e. someone aged 19 was listed as 15, 23 as 20, 42 as 40, etc.).  Plus, birthplaces were noted as being in the county or not in the county (for England and Wales).  If not born in England or Wales, the census indicated whether born in Scotland, Ireland, or Foreign Parts.
