in the Canadian Expeditionary Force on 25 Jul 1916
during World War I [Can. Archive]. At the time he
was living in Montreal, Quebec, working as a lathe
hand, chauffeur, driver, and munition worker [Can.
Archive]. He was living in Montreal, Canada in 1923
[MET]. He married 2nd Mary Ellen Tobin [STG]. Both
of his wives had been previously married, so these
might not be their maiden names [STG]. He was
buried in Cotes des Neiges Cemetery, Montreal [STG].
Children by 1st wife: Eric, William. Children by
2nd wife: Barbara, Donald E., Shirley. [Surely the
same as the William Edward Tinling born in Bridekirk,
Cumberland?].
William Edward
Tinling. He died in the 1960’s and was bur. in Ayr
Cemetery, Ayr, Waterloo Co., Ontario [OCFA, STG].
William H. Tinlin. Son of James H. and E. Tinlin
[MPA]. Died 20 Jan 1853 (or 55), bur. Bethel
Congregational Cemetery, Louth, Lincoln Co., Ontario
[MPA].
