Agnes Tinling.  Born c. 1875 [calc.].  She died in 1st quarter 1948 in Northumberland West District, age 73 [CR].

Agnes Tinling.  Born 4th quarter 1878 in Wigton, Cumberland, daughter of Robert and Mary (Patterson) Tinling [cen., CR].  In 1881 she was living with her parents in Botchergate, St. Cuthbert Without Parish, Carlisle, Cumberland [cen.].  In 1891 she was living with her parents in St. Cuthbert Without, working as a cotton weaver [cen.].  She married Thomas Townson in 4th quarter 1897 in Carlisle District [CR].  He was born c. 1876 in Carlisle, Cumberland, son of John and Isabella Townson [cen.].  In 1901 they were living in Botchergate, and he was working  as a railway engine worker [cen.].

Alexander Tinling.  Born c. 1816 in Scotland [cen.].  He married Sarah Ann Whitehouse on 21 Nov 1836 in Saint Leonard’s, Shoreditch, London [reg.].  At the time, they were both living in Saint Leonard’s Parish [reg.].  She was born 22 Apr 1815 and chr. 28 Apr 1815 at St. Mary, Marylebone, London, daughter of Thomas and Sarah (Pickard?) Whitehouse [IGI, cen., marr. reg.].  They were living at No. 68, Chapel Street, Whitechapel, London in Nov 1840, and he was working as a gun maker [son’s birth cert.].  In 1841 they were living in Chambers Street, Whitechapel, and he was working as a junior gun maker [cen.].  He died 3rd quarter 1844 in St. Pancras District (Middlesex) [CR].  She was living in Finsbury, London in Sep 1847 [IGI].  In 1851 she was living in Shoreditch, Middlesex, working as a blond runner [cen.].  In 1861 she was living in Shoreditch St. Leonards, London, a widow, working as a dressmaker [cen.].  Cannot locate her in 1871 or 1881 census index.  She died 15 Jan 1884 in Islington District (Middlesex), age 69, bur. Abney Park Cemetery, London [CR, DCH].  Children: [Alexander ?], Thomas Edwin, John Alexander.  [Possibly brother of Andrew Tinling, gun maker, and thus son of Thomas Tinling?].  [Probably related to Elizabeth Tinling, died in 1840 in Whitechapel].

Alice M. Tinling.  Married Joseph L. Hartley in [DR] in Northumberland West District [CR].  [Probably the widow of Eric William Tinling].

An(n) Tinllin.  Married Lanclot Tuddop on 6 Dec 1681 in Stamfordham Parish, Northumberland [IGI].  They were living in Stamfordham in Oct 1682 [IGI].  [There were no other Tinlins being married in this area in this time period, but there were Tindells.]

Ann Tingling.  Married Edward Bell on 12 Nov 1702 in Hexham, Northumberland [IGI].

Ann Tynling.  Married Robert Wallis on 8 Jul 1703 in Haydon Bridge Parish, Northumberland [reg.].  They were living in Haydon Bridge Parish through at least 1722 [IGI].

Ann Tindling.  Chr. 15 Dec 1736 in Berwick upon Tweed Parish, Northumberland, daughter of Thomas Tindling [IGI].

Ann Tinling.  Chr. 12 Jan 1752 in Hexham Parish, Northumberland, natural daughter of George Tinling [BT].

Ann Tinling.  Chr. 10 Jul 1774 at St. Mary’s, Carlisle, Cumberland, daughter of James and Mary (Smith) Tinling [reg.].  She was bur. 20 Apr 1777 in St. Mary’s, Carlisle, age 3 [reg.].

Ann Tinling.  Living in Cumberland in 1804 [IGI].  Daughter: Ann.

Ann Tinling.  Married Frederick Heckford Thompson in 1833 or earlier [BJ].  He was born c. 1804 in Great Bentley, Essex [cen.].  They lived in Shettlewood, Hanover Parish, Jamaica and he had an estate at Carthagena, St. James Parish, Jamaica [BJ].  She died before 1851 in Jamaica and he remarried [BJ (see Anne Tinling)].  In 1861 he was living at Pond House, Great Bentley, Essex, a Lieutenant Colonel of the Jamaican Militia and a Justice of the Peace [cen.].  He died before 1871 [cen.].

Anne Tinling.  Chr. 4 Feb 1776 in St. Mary’s, Carlisle, Cumberland, daughter of John and Jane (Peery) Tinling [reg. as Tining].

Anne Tinlin.  Married William Tinsdale on 22 Apr 1830 in Sandal Magna Parish, Yorkshire (near Wakefield) [IGI]. At the time of their marriage, they were both living in Sandal Magna Parish [FHO].  They may have been living in Leeds, Yorkshire in 1834 [IGI].  Cannot locate in 1851.  Possibly the widow, Ann Tinsdale, age 62, living in Hunslet, Leeds in 1871, born in Edinburgh [cen. (also there in 1861) – no, her husband’s name was James].  [Possibly related to Hector Tinling, born c. 1785?]

Annes Tinlen.  Bur. 28 Dec 1583 at St. Mary the Virgin, Cockfield, Durham [FHO].

Annie Tinline.  Born c. 1850 [cen.].  In 1911 she was living in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, possibly with a George Tinline [cen. index].

Annie Tinlin.  Born c. 1868 [calc.].  She died in 3rd quarter 1956 in Durham West District, age 88 [CR].

Ashleigh Rose Tinlin.  Born in or shortly before [DR] in North Tyneside District, daughter of ______ and ______ (Foster) Tinlin [CR].  She graduated from King Edward VI School in Morpeth, Northumberland in 2009 [Internet].

Catherina Tinlin.  Born in May 1676, chr. 15 May 1676 at St. Martin in the Fields, Westminster, London, daughter of William and Jane Tinlin [IGI as Emlin].

Catherine Tinlin.  Born 2nd quarter 1887 in Toxteth Park District (Lancashire) [CR].

Catherine Tinline.  Born 16 Oct 1899 [CR].  She died in 1st quarter 1975 in Cuckfield District [CR].

Catherine Grace Tinling.  Born 1st quarter 1906 in Newcastle-upon-Tyne [CR].  She married ______ Fraser in 3rd quarter 1935 in Gateshead District (Durham) [CR].  [She would be a member of the Haltwhistle family.]

Charles Tingling.  Born c. 1834 [calc.].  He arrived in New York in Aug 1855 aboard the British Queen from Glasgow [Anc.].  He was a laborer from England [Anc.].

Charles Tinlin.  Born 8 November 1840 at No. 2, Carpenter Place, London, son of John and Hannah (Lofts) Tinlin [cert.].  He is apparently the Charles Tinlin, age 7 months, living with Jane Warren and Mary Ann Cannon, laundresses in St. George’s, Hanover Square, London in 1841 [cen.].

David Tinling.  Possibly the David, son of Franc[is] [and Jennet] Tinning of Easton, Arthuret Parish, who was chr. 2 Aug 1713 [reg.].  He married Elizabeth Graham on 18 Jul 1750 in Arthuret Parish, Cumberland [reg.].  At the time of their marriage, both were living in Arthuret Parish [reg.].  They were living in Chapeltown, Arthuret Parish in Apr 1751 [reg.].  Children: Francis.

David Tinling.  Chr. 1 Jan 1736 in Kirklinton Parish, Cumberland, son of Richard Tinling of Ash in Hethersgill [reg.].  [Entry was very faint, not sure if it is correct].

David Tinling.  Married Elizabeth Cox in 1798 in West Ham, Essex [his will, OR].  They were living in Deptford, Kent in Dec 1809, and he was a butcher [will].  His will was proved 8 [month missing] 1810 in London, when his wife was still living.

David Tinling.  Married Catharine Hewitt on 14 Jun 1760 in St. Mary’s, Carlisle, Cumberland [reg.].  At the time of their marriage, he was living in Kirklinton, Cumberland, and she was living in Carlisle [reg.].  They were living in Hethersgill, Kirklinton Parish in May 1761 (in Loaming), Apr 1762, in Horsegills, Kirklinton Parish in Aug 1762, and in Ash, Kirklinton Parish in Mar 1764 and May 1766 [reg.].  Children: Polly, Rachel, David.

David Tinling.  One of the "prinicpal inhabitants" of Carlisle, Cumberland in Jan 1776, when he was one of the signers of an address to King George III, "struck with Admiration of [his] Majesty's wise and lenient Measures" and "behold[ing] with Horror the base Innovations and black Ingratitude of rebellious Americans" [London Gazette, 2 Jan 1776, pg. 1].

David Tinling.  Chr. 1 Jun 1765 in St. Mary’s, Carlisle, Cumberland, son of John and Jane (Peery) Tinling [reg.].  He was christened the same day as his brother Thomas, so they may have been twins [reg.].  He was bur. 7 Aug 1765 in St. Mary’s, Carlisle [reg.].

Eleanor Tinlin.  Chr. 15 Apr 1759 in Sunderland Parish, Durham, daughter of George and Isabel (Horn) Tinlin [IGI (mother’s name written as Elizabeth)].  She married David Lowthian on 14 May 1780 in Sunderland Parish, Durham [IGI as Elizabeth Tinland].  They had children christened in Sunderland through 1795 [IGI (in which she is always called Eleanor)].

Elizabeth Tinling.  Banns of marriage with John Birnet were published on 10 May 1761 in Ilderton Parish, Northumberland [printed trans. of reg.].  They were married on 12 May 1761 in Edlingham Parish, Northumberland [IGI, printed trans. of reg.].  At the time of their marriage, she was living in Edlingham Parish, he was living in Ilderton Parish [printed trans. of reg.].  They did not have any children in Ilderton or Edlingham Parishes [IGI].

(possibly age 34, hard to read)].  [Probably related to Alexander Tinling].

Elizabeth Tinling.  Married William Smith on 22 Feb 1829 in Allendale Parish, Northumberland [IGI].  They were living in All Saints, Newcastle-upon-Tyne in Aug 1843 [IGI (not in BT)].

Elizabeth Tinlin.  Daughter of James Tinlin, a labourer [marr. cert.].  She married John Hutchinson on 2 Nov 1839 in St. John Lee, Northumberland [cert.].  He was born 12 Nov 1817 in Fourstone, Northumberland, son of Joseph and Jane Hutchinson [AF, marr. cert.].  At the time of their marriage, he was living in Horsley working as a labourer, and she was living in Acomb working as a servant [cert.].  He married for a second time in Apr 1849, so she had apparently died by that date [AF].  He died 16 May 1898 in Newcastle-upon-Tyne [AF].

Tinling.  Born c. 1843 in Raby Park, Jamaica, probably the daughter of William Tinling of Raby Park [cen.].  In 1851 she was living at the Pond House dormitory for girls at Great Bentley, Essex [cen.].  In 1861 she was living in Lexden, Essex, working as a dressmaker [cen.].  She married John Harvey in 1st quarter 1866 in Colchester District (Essex) [CR].  He was born c. 1832 in Wormingford, Essex, son of Martin and Sarah Harvey [cen., not in IGI].  In 1881 they were living at Latchingdon Hill Farm, Cold Norton, Essex, and he was working as a farmer [cen.].  In 1891 they were living at Lyns Farm, Latchingdon, Essex, and he was working as a farmer [cen.].  In 1901 they were living at Williams Farm, Tolleshunt Darcy, Essex, and he was working as a farmer [cen.].  In 1911 she was living in Maldon District, Essex [cen. (he was apparently deceased)].

[cen.].  She married George Edward Thew in 3rd quarter 1873 in Bellingham District [CR].  He was born c. 1851 in Swinhoe, Northumberland, son of Thomas and Jane Thew [cen.].  In 1881 they were living in the Porter’s Lodge, Gosforth, Northumberland, and he was working as a woodman [cen.].  In 1891 they were living at Low Gosforth Hall Lodge in North Gosforth, Northumberland, and he was working as a woodman [cen.].  In 1901 they were living in Newlands, Northumberland and he was working as a woodman [cen.].  In 1911 they were living in Hexham District, Northumberland [cen. index].
