Roxburghshire [cen.]. He was a laborer [daughter’s marr. cert.].
He died before 1844 [cen., her marriage record]. She married 2nd John
Drummond on 13 Dec 1844 in Jedburgh, Roxburghshire [IGI under her maiden name]. In 1851
they were living in Roxburgh, Roxburghshire [cen.]. In 1861 she was living in
Dolphinstone, Oxnam, Roxburghshire, a widow [cen.]. In 1871 she was living in
Bush, Edgerston, Roxburghshire, a widow, working as a housekeeper [cen.].
In 1881 and 1891 she was living at Cleughhead Cottage, Hobkirk, Roxburghshire [cen.]. They

At the time of their marriage, they were both living in Dolphinston, Oxnam, and were working as farm servants [cert.]. In 1883 they were living in Middle Softlaw, Kelso, Roxburghshire, and he was working as an agricultural laborer and a road man [son’s birth cert., son’s marr. cert.]. In 1891 they were living in Crooked House Hamlet, Sprouston, Roxburghshire, and he was working as a general laborer [cen.]. They are apparently the couple living in Pierhead, Kelso, Roxburghshire in 1901, when he was working as a carter [cen.]. She died 29 May 1911 at the Poorhouse, Jedburgh, Roxburghshire, age 68 (usual residence Kelso) [cert.]. During World War II he enlisted from Perth, Western Australia, when his next of kin was Elizabeth Tinlin [NAA]. He was attending flight school in Cunderdin in Jun 1941 [NAA]. He was a member of 460 Squadron RAAF Ground Crew from 19 Jul 1942 to 21 Dec 1943 [Internet]. He was in the R.A.A.F. in 1944 [engagement notice]. She was born c. 1890 in Ladhope, Selkirkshire, daughter of Robert and Alison (Chalmers) Patterson [marr. cert.]. At the time of their marriage, he was a farm servant living at Sunlawshill, Roxburgh, and she was a domestic servant living at Manorhill, Makerston [cert.]. At one time they lived at 11 Bilton’s Court, Morpeth, Northumberland [CWGC]. He was in the 2nd Battalion, King’s Own Scottish Borderers and had served for eight years of active duty, including in Egypt and India, and then was in the reserves for 3 1/2 years before being called up for war duty [CWGC, The Scotsman, 1 May 1915, page 10]. He was born c. 1839 in Perth, Perthshire, son of David and Ellen (Boyd) Tolleth, and was a widower [marr. cert., cen.]. At the time of their marriage, he was living in Pirtie (?) Street, Glasgow, working as a dyer-cleaner, and she was living in Camptown, Jedburgh [cert.]. In 1901 they were living at 21 Harcourt Drive, Glasgow Springburn and he was working as a French cleaner [cen. (she listed as Maud)]. He died before 1912 [her marr. cert.]. She married 2nd William Wilson Smith on 6 Aug 1912 at 102 Parson Street, Glasgow [cert.]. He was born c. 1862, son of William and Mary (Wilson) Smith [marr. cert.]. At the time of their marriage, he was living at 282 Buchanan Street, Glasgow, working as a mercantile clerk, and she was living at the same address [cert.].
